How to Subscribe (Florida residents only)

The Elder Update is distributed at no cost to elder Floridians and sent by U.S. mail. Unfortunately, the Department is unable to mail Elder Update subscriptions out of state due to increasing postage costs. Click the links above to subscribe or update your address. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive the first issue or for changes to take effect.

The Elder Update is also available in Braille and on cassette tape for people with disabilities. Call the Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library at 1-800-226-6075 for additional information.

Reprint Policies

If you wish to re-print a selected article from Elder Update in your newsletter or other printed publication, please request permission from the Elder Update editor* in advance for each specific article that you wish to use. Please include the following information in your request:

  1. Article you would like to reprint (title, date of issue, and page number)
  2. Name of your publication
  3. Date of intended publication
  4. Print quantity
  5. Circulation area

Copyright fair use law allows you to excerpt up to 100 words from an article without our permission. For more than 100 words, you must reprint the entire article without any alterations or editing.

We often print articles provided to us by other organizations and agencies. We do not authorize the reprinting of these external articles.

If approved, please include the following line with all reprinted articles: “Reprinted with express permission from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.”
