ElderSource is pleased to honor and celebrate the many individuals and organizations who worked tirelessly to provide thousands of older adults with food, financial assistance, comfort, and friendship during the difficult days of the 2020 pandemic. A Night with the Stars – which will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 – is a special occasion to shine the light on their hard work and dedication that enabled the seniors in our community to maintain their independence and dignity.
Join us in paying tribute to the 2021 Delores Barr Weaver Elder Advocate Award Winner, Richard Prudom, the Secretary of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
Because of his leadership throughout the pandemic, the statewide agencies providing support to the hundreds of thousands of seniors were able to respond with tremendous efficiency and effectiveness. Secretary Prudom put the people’s needs first, and policy and paper, later. He was the right leader for this time in Florida history.
